:::Mathia Anne Maureen Jaeger:::

I am so excited to FINALLY be able to post these newborn photos of Mathia! In case you hadn’t heard….we had our baby girl! I am going to post her birth story soon. You know, in between the feedings, poopie diapers, naps, baths and so on. It’s been an adjustment having a human being rely on me for everything in life, therefore only leaving me 10 to 15 minutes at a time to work on photos. I’ve been trying to get used to the slower pace, but still enjoying every bit of motherhood! Another challenge was trying to be the photographer and mother at the same time. Needless to say, all of these photos are spread out over about 4 or 5 different “photo shoots”. Any time I thought Mathia was drowsy enough I would quickly run around and get all my newborn photo session stuff out, set up a scene or two and shoot as fast as I could before she’d get upset. We got better each time we would do a shoot, but it was still a challenge. Of course there was no stopping mommy! You can never get too many photos of your babies! Mathia was very patient with mommy and has become quite the little model! So here are the newborn photos that I have taken of Mathia so far. I hope to get a few more (especially some Wizard of Oz themed ones!)

p.s. For whatever reason the photo dimensions on my blog are different than usual and cutting off part of my side menu. I don’t have time to fix it now, but I at least wanted to get the photos up for you all to see!

Enjoy!

Joshua and I have been so blessed by this little girl! We immensely enjoying the new journey of parenthood. We are so grateful to have been given this precious little gift! We cannot wait to see what God has in store for her! We just can’t get enough of her! I will do my best to not overwhelm you photos of her cuteness….but what can I say! I’m a new parent with my first daughter, who is completely adorable and amazing! So of course I have to share! She is a part of my life now and I love her so very much! As a photographer I am truly blessed to be able to capture my own child’s precious little life. She has already grown so much in just 6 1/2 weeks! As much as I want her to stay tiny and little forever, I am truly excited about what the future brings for Mathia and our family!

Happy Friday!

:::Goo Family at the Park:::

I had the wonderful privilege of taking family portraits for the Goo family a few weeks ago. We had a wonderful time at the park with the whole family together and watching the little ones wander around the playground. It was a beautiful spring morning to capture family memories and lots of laughs!

Families like the Goo’s is the reason why I love what I do! The love that they have for each other is so evident in their interactions, and makes my job so easy and enjoyable.

You all are treasures! Thank you for letting me spend time with your beautiful family and capture such wonderful memories!

Here are some favorites from the day!

The little kiddos! So cute!!

Grandma and Grandpa were having so much fun with their little ones!

Grandpa and Eli were having fun goofing off!! So adorable!

The whole family headed over to the swings, which the kids absolutely loved! Who doesn’t love swings?! Silly people thats who!

Happy Wednesday!

:::Mondays and Snickers Bars!:::

The weekend is gone. Monday is here again. I generally like Mondays. I don’t typically get the monday blues. I am happy on Mondays when I can get a good start to the day and get a lot accomplished! Normally I clean up the house after everything has piled up over the weekend and I’ll try to get some office work done and so on and so on. If I can feel like I’ve gotten a lot accomplished the rest of the week normally goes well. I know everyone has different things they do to get back into the work week. Well, this is mine. Being productive…….and Snickers Bars!!!!

Over the past two months or so Snickers bars have been one of my biggest cravings! I hit up Vons several times when their buy two get two free sale on Snickers was going on. I also got several boxes of the Snickers Ice Cream Bars! If you’ve never had the Snickers Ice Cream Bars, I’m telling you! Run down to the 7Eleven on your lunch break and get the Ice Cream Bar!!! You will never regret it!

So if you need some help getting through your monday……Eat a Snickers! Oh and also that whole productive thing. But mainly, Eat a Snickers!

Oh. Skinny Cows have also been living in our freezer. :) Baby wants a lot of ice cream! But I will say I am on track with my weight. So we’re not getting too fat….I promise!

Snickers does satisfy…..at least for a pregnant lady it does!

Happy Monday!

:::Bautista Maternity Session:::

So excited about this beautiful maternity session! We had such a fun time at Irvine Regional Park and it was such a beautiful day! Absolutely perfect for taking photos and capturing beautiful people! Baby Bautista is due in June, and Patricia…..you look FABULOUS!!! We were about the same size and I’m not due until August! You’re amazing!

Thank you so much for allowing my to capture your beautiful relationship and excitement as you prepare for the arrival of your little girl! I can tell she is already so loved! I can’t wait to meet her!

Here are some favorite photos from the day!

If you would like to view all of the photos from the maternity session, check out their web gallery here!

Happy Wednesday!

:::25 weeks down, 15 more to go!:::

It’s hard to believe it’s already been 25 weeks! Time is flying. We’re really getting down to the wire, cause before we know it she’s gonna be here! We finally started working on the Nursery now that the office is complete (pictures coming soon!) I can’t wait to start decorating the nursery with all of my wizard of oz stuff! (If you don’t know me, I have quite a collection!)

But enough about what’s coming up in the next 15 weeks. Right now we are at week 25! My Baby Girl is about 1 1/2 pounds and is about 13 1/2 inches from head to heels. Now she’s gonna start getting all plump and fat and adding all that cute little baby chub! Which also means mommy will be packin’ on the chub within the next 15 weeks! She is constantly moving and always doing something. For the first time the other night she did keep me up at 5am for about an hour because she was kicking so much. Oh Boy! Or, uh, Oh Girl! Though, maybe I should think of her as being considerate. She’s just trying to prepare me for when she comes and I will get even less sleep! Right?!

Any who. Here is how much we’ve grown in the past five weeks!

We got our first Angels onesies for our Baby Girl from our dear friends Chris and Amanda! I know I say “I’m excited” and “I can’t wait” a lot…….but it’s true! I’m excited and I can’t wait to put these onesies on her! I know we will still need to get Dodgers ones. But she’s starting out on the right foot. She is gonna know which team to root for first!

Well, I think that’s it for week 25! I’ll keep you posted on her squiggles and squirms as we get closer to the big day!

Happy Wednesday!

:::Biola Nursing Graduate-My Sista-Kelsey!!!:::

This photo shoot was near and dear to my heart because it’s my sister-in-law!!! We are actually each others first sisters. We both grew up with only brothers, so we were very excited to truly have a sister when she married into our family two years ago! Now I have a total of 4 sisters (I gained 3 more when I married into the Jaeger family)! Not to mention all the other girlfriends in my life whom I have grown up with who have treated me like a sister. I have been truly blessed in so many ways!

But this sista is graduating from BIOLA UNIVERSITY!!!!!!!! I am so proud of Kelsey!! She has been studying at Biola for the past five years as a Nursing Major (the program itself is five years long!). She is one of the smartest people I know! This program is so intense and she has stayed with it every step of the way. Not to mention the fact that she met my bother, dated him, got engaged, planned a wedding, got married, and gained a whole new family while studying nursing! She’s amazing! And she’s absolutely gorgeous!!! But I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves!

I’m sorry. I can’t help but brag about my sister! We had so much fun on our photo shoot! We went to her old stomping grounds. Which aren’t so old yet, cause she hasn’t actually graduated. But they are actually my old stomping grounds. I proudly attended there for one year! Then I transferred to Cypress College to work on my photography degree. I am proud and glad to say that I did go there for a short time. I have grown up around Biola my whole life and always wanted to experience college life there. I worked really hard to finally get there and was even able to live on campus for a semester! But due to lack of funds and a change in direction for my studies, I packed up and headed somewhere else. God had a bigger plan and he knew where I needed to go. I am just grateful that he allowed me to attend there when I did. Because of all that, I now have so much more appreciation and admiration for Kelsey, (and my other sister-in-law Marianne who is also graduating from Biola in May), for completing their own degrees in the proper time!!! It is so hard now days to complete a four-year degree in four years, and do it well!!! I couldn’t be happier for either of them! They deserve all the accolades they can get!!!

Well here are a few photos from our shoot. Kelsey you are just so gorgeous and fabulous!!! There are so many photos to choose from! So here are a few of my favorites!! Enjoy!

Had to get some Biola icons in there!

What I tell ya! Gorgeous right?! (It also helped that my brother, her husband, was there to make faces and get her to smile! He was pretty goofy, but a fabulous assistant! Thanks Nathan!)

What I love about Kelsey is that you can see that she loves what she does!!! She is going to make a fabulous Nurse! (I am looking forward to having her in my delivery room in August for moral and technical support!!!)

Kelsey, you are so sweet and wonderful and I love you so much!!! I am so glad that you are a part of our family, and I am so proud of all of your hard work and accomplishments! I can’t wait to start celebrating and getting these Graduation parties going!!!!!

Love, Your Sister!

Happy Wednesday!
